For the purpose of providing you with a conveyancing quote the following information is collected:

For a conveyancing quote:

Your name, telephone number and email address

Your address and any address related to the conveyancing instruction, such as the purchase or sale address.

The nature of the conveyancing transaction for which you require a conveyancing quote, and some details relating to the property

The name of any mortgage lender you will be using.

To instruct a conveyancing firm to deal with your conveyancing:

Personal data about other named applicants for the conveyancing service is collected. You must have their authority to provide their personal data to us and share this data protection statement with them beforehand, together with details of what you have agreed on their behalf.

Details of any lenders involved in your transaction, and the relevant loan amounts, will be required too.

Providing your personal data

Providing your personal data is optional. We will only process your personal data with your consent. If you give us consent to process your personal data for the purpose of obtaining a conveyancing quote, proceeding with your conveyancing instruction, and for passing to our panel conveyancer, then you may subsequently opt to withdraw that consent by notifying us in writing. If you do so, we may be unable to provide you with our services.

Your personal data is processed in the following ways:

Providing the conveyancing services

Your personal data is passed to Hoowla Ltd in order to quote on behalf of our panel conveyancing solicitor; and to later instruct that same same solicitor should you decide to proceed. No data is stored on this site.

After you delete your data, they may not immediately delete residual copies from their active servers and may not remove information from their backup systems. Generally, they will retain your financial data and personal data for a reasonable period, or for as long as the law requires.

Your personal data in relation to a conveyancing instruction must be held for the statutory legal period required after legal completion of your conveyancing transaction.

If you ask us to appoint a conveyancing solicitor or licensed conveyancer for you then we will share your personal data with that solicitor or licensed conveyancer. Once you have instructed us to appoint a solicitor or conveyancer to act for you these companies have their own privacy policies and we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies.
